Percentage of rounds won vs total rounds played
Win rate is the percentage of successful rounds (where you cashed out profitably) compared to total rounds played. It's calculated as (Wins ÷ Total Rounds) × 100%. While important, win rate alone doesn't determine profitability - you can have 60% win rate but lose money if your losses are much larger than your wins. Win rate should be analyzed alongside average win size, average loss size, and overall profit/loss to get a complete picture of strategy performance.
You play 100 rounds. You win 55 rounds, lose 45 rounds. Win rate = 55%. But if average win is +$5 ($275 total) and average loss is -$8 ($360 total), you're down $85 despite 55% win rate. This shows why risk management matters more than just winning percentage.
Target win rates: Low stop-loss strategies (1.2x) can achieve 70-80% win rates. Medium targets (2-3x) typically see 40-55% win rates. High targets (5x+) might only win 15-25% of the time. Focus on risk-adjusted returns, not just win rate percentage.
